Bannock County
Background on bannock

Bannock County currently has a ban on medium and large solar facilities, restricting what private landowners and farmers in the county can do on their land and limiting access to low cost power options and the economic growth that comes with them. Now the county is considering an ordinance that would allow for solar energy in the county, creating an opportunity for Bannock County.

As Idaho grows and energy needs rise, we need practical, forward-looking policies that support clean, cost-effective energy. That’s why advocates are urging the County to replace the current ban with a balanced solar ordinance allowing for the development of responsible projects that benefit landowners, preserve agricultural options, and strengthen our local grid.
